This photography book is themed around Laos and is presented in three languages: English, Chinese, and Lao. This new book is the second in the series of photography collections. The first book, themed around Indonesia, was published in 2023. Similar to the book on Indonesia, this Laos-themed book features over a hundred photographs taken in various corners of Laos, offering readers a glimpse into the customs and cultures of this Southeast Asian nation. Some of the images capture scenes that are rarely seen by regular tourists.

This book is not a collection of landscape photos; thus, even when showcasing scenery, the frame must include people. There are many countries on Earth that can be referred to as "Nanyang." "Nanyang" in the context of "Nanyang Scenery" refers to the ten ASEAN countries commonly known internationally: Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, and Singapore. Some also refer to them as ASEAN or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The author spent three years photographing and publishing "THE SIDEWALK BEAUTY - Stray Cats of Singapore." In essence, it is a photography book promoting tourism in Singapore.

In recent years, the author noticed the regional "ASEAN" organization, united in its effort to seek welfare for the people of all member nations and also saw the effort Singapore put into this. Moved by this, he initiated the "silent cultivation" project, aiming to publish a photography book related to a different ASEAN country each year, in conjunction with the annual "ASEAN Summit," to draw attention to "ASEAN" from the people of these countries.
